This paper was published for Dr. Sayyed Hussein Nasr in 2007 and discusses the relationship between the Zen Martial Arts and Modern Day Martial “Arts.” Its thesis is that, unlike traditional martial arts, modern warfare is essentially akin to what would traditionally be referred to as “Black Magic” or “Black Arts.”
