Heyyyyy! I’m still alive I swear, it’s just been a while. I’ve discovered that one of the interesting things about being in a foreign country for a while is that you stop analyzing everything that goes on, and you sort of insulate yourself to everything. They call this the ‘cultural low’ point, where you get really down about feeling completely cut off from everything. It also makes for boring Blog posts.

An interesting note: The most religious person that I’ve met here is the Sri Lanken maid, who is currently fasting from eating for Lent. I swear to God, she only eats at night. She and I had a long theological discussion this morning, though she and I can barely understand each other. Then she made paper boats. They float really well. Amazing.

I miss everyone and I can’t wait to get back – To everyone who cares, I’ll be returning to the states on August 12th, and will be in Maine until probably the 31st. I intend to give everyone I meet a HUGE hug.
