some guy in lebanon

Soo…….. this afternoon we move out of the comfy though relatively seedy hotel we’ve been living in for the past few days and into our (what I hope to be) large and wonderful apartment.

I’m told I have my own bed room, which is nice considering I haven’t had one of those in three years, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Living above us is another group of students as well.

Today we finished our orientation at the university – the language center is amazing, just finished this year. It includes several extremely well stocked rooms that were donated by nations, such as the Japanese and American governments.

Last night we went out to this amazing restaurant that served food bedouin style, and I pretty much sucked on a hookah all night. Glorious.

About to buy a cell phone, then on to the apartment, then on with the semester!
